Humanitarian Aid Platform 9th Consultation and Coordination Meeting

The 9th Consultation and Coordination Meeting of the Humanitarian Relief Platform (HRP / İYP) convened under the UNIW umbrella, focusing on the humanitarian situation in Yemen, alongside agendas for Syria, Nepal, and the Central African Republic. During the consultation meeting, frameworks were formulated regarding how relief can be provided in Yemen, logistics mechanisms, and prioritizing urgent needs. Efforts were exerted toward establishing a joint decision-making and action mechanism. In this regard, participating major Turkish relief organizations and international participant NGO representatives presented their current operations and proposed initiatives for Yemen, Central Africa, and Nepal through visual and oral presentations. Numerous participants contributed to the intellectual exchange by sharing technical data and project proposals. Furthermore, a historical evaluation of Yemen was conducted to exchange insights on the chaotic situation on the ground. Humanitarian responsibilities assumed in the field provided clarity regarding the social, political, and military dimensions of the crisis in Yemen. Emphasizing urgencies, the reflections of civil conflict and external intervention on the Yemeni people were analyzed. The meeting was attended by a broad spectrum of organizations, including AID Doctors, Prime Ministry AFAD, Beşir Association, Cansuyu Association, Deniz Feneri Association, Türkiye Diyanet Foundation, Hak-İş Confederation, Hayrat Humanitarian Aid, IHH, İmkan-Der, Turkish Red Crescent, Memur-Sen, ORDAF, OIC, TİKA, TGTV (Foundation of Volunteer Organizations of Turkey), Yardımeli, Doctors Worldwide, and Fuad Al Maznaee representing the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. As a result of the meeting, evaluations centered on Yemen while covering Syria, Central Africa, and Nepal from a broad perspective were formulated utilizing diverse knowledge resources.
